SMSQL Not updating datasets with Protection Manager

Hi,

We are running SMSQL 5.1P2 with our Windows 2008 MSCS Cluster. One of the instances had 3 Data volumes (data01,data0,data03)and 3 Log volumes.(log01,log02,log03).

We added a new set data04 and log04.

Initialized the Snapmirror relationship separately for the new volume,

rerun the SMSQL config wizard.

Changed the protection manager backup dataset to include the new luns.

restarted SMSQL and Snapdrive on the node

But when we run the SMSQL job, it takes the snapshots of the new volumes, but does not

1. update the snapmirror relationship or

2. snapvault dataset in Protection Manager

3. apply the SMSQL policy to retain 3 days of snaps online.

It works fine for the other volumes/luns initially configured but not for the new ones.

What configuration/steps am i missing here?
