does sis create a private snapshot? if so, pls. describe the scope of this snapshot,

and how one monitors the snapshot.

My understanding is that it does (so fractional reserve will come into play during that time period if it's a volume with LUNs), you can see it like any other snapshot, and that it is automatically deleted when that sis run is finished.

I have actually seen a sis.*** snapshot during the initial sis run....can't recall if I've seen it in subsequent runs though.
