Delete old files

Hi,

I'm using a filer as a Windows File Server where there are some Public Shares.. My question is if it is possible to automate the deletion of files older than a certain age?

My intention is do this job directly from our FAS2040 without use external scripting servers...

Since you have not gotten an answer, you may want to ask this question in the NetApp Support Community. The current customers, partners and internal Subject Matter Experts are addressing technical product questions there.

autodelete is available for snapshots but i believe this will not be possible with files natively.

May not be exactly what you're looking for but...

NetApp has a data lifecylce management solution called StorageGRID ->> More info here.
