query on exports file

Hello folks,

we mounted on filer root volume on a sun solaris box & normally when we want to edit the exports file then

we follow cd /filername/etc

& do the vi exports file but now interesting thing is when i want to make changes this time on the exports file it says read-only any thoughts........?

Hi,

Few quick checks you can do is verify the export created for the vol0 has root access and also read-write permission is given to the host from which you are trying to access this , i am assuming here that you are trying to acess it as root
