Planning to upgrade the Netapp E series 5700 SANtricity 11.40.2 to 11.70.2

Can be upgraded directly to version 11.70.2 ?

Once updated will the firmware versions be updated separately for NVSRAM / Drive?

Hi Tappari

You can upgrade SANtricity OS directly from 11.40.2 to 11.70.2. The NVSRAM is upgraded with the SANtricity OS but it is a separate file that you will download during upgrade process. Here are some good articles to reference:

Drive firmware upgrade is done separately, and there are two methods available:

Parallel (Multiple drives at a time ; No Host I/O)
Online (One drive at a time; With Host I/O)
