OK, but that's for recovery.

Was installation of singleton firmware over dual controller firmware forced or not?
Seamless overwriting of another type of f/w shouldn't be possible unless that switch was used to force-overwrite dual controller firmware (i.e. it required an effort to shoot yourself in the foot, and the user made that effort).

Hello,

we have a problem by mistake we installed the nvsram firmware first for the single controller and then for the dual, now we have the controllers with different versions one with single and one with dual, how can we synchronize them both with the firmware for dual controller?

I recommend to create a case with NetApp Support to understand the environment, model and issue better.

Singleton model firmware should refuse to be installed over dual controller firmware.

But it seems it doesn't. That's a usability bug and should be fixed by NetApp (unless you got a warning and ignored it).

There is a CLI forceDownload option to allow the re-flashing of NVSRAM in case they are mismatched on both controllers.

See this knowledge base article for details: https://kb.netapp.com/on-prem/E-Series/SANtricity-OS-KBs/NVSRAM_Mismatch_on_E-Series_system_after_upgrade_or_controller_replacement
