Hi,

I checked the hwu.netapp.com, the only ones supported are 2,3 & 5-meter, "Passive" Direct Attach Cable (DAC) for UT2 ports type.

Have attached the excel that I downloaded from hwu.

Thanks!

Hello -

We have a need for a 7+ meter TwinAx DAC cable from a Cisco switch to our NetApp FAS2554. This would require an Active cable. Is this supported by NetApp FAS2554s and their UTA2 interfaces?

Thanks,

-Luke

If this connections is for the cluster network, then it's not supported.

If this connection is for front-end/data connectivity, our general recommendation is to stick with the switch vendor's approved cables. With active twinax or optical, YMMV. You can always give it a shot, but you'll want to monitor link status/health and ports stats for any issues.
