hi @yos

for Cisco 3132 working at 10 Gb/s you will need to use breakout cables as no other type of cable is supported.

If Hardware Universe does not mention it between the compatible cables, then it means it's not supported.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Previously, I asked a question because there was a device that was omitted from HWU and disappeared.

Well, you do have one option with the Nexus 3132Q-V that isn't explicitly called out in Hardware Universe, but is explained in NetApp 3132Q-V switch documentation and the reference configuration files (RCF).

That 3132Q-V switch model has 4 physical 10GbE SFP+ ports that can be optionally used, instead of the physical 40GbE Port 1.

This provides 4 x physical 10GbE ports without any requirement for a breakout cable - think of it as a "built-in" breakout for Port 1.

Here's the snippet from an RCF on its use:

*  Port 1 multiplexed H/W configuration options:                                        *
* hardware profile front portmode qsfp (40G H/W port 1/1 is active - default) *
*    hardware profile front portmode sfp-plus  (10G H/W ports 1/1/1 - 1/1/4 are active) *
* hardware profile front portmode qsfp (To reset to QSFP) *

You can reference the 10GbE cable options available with the older Nexus 5596UP switch for compatible cables and optics w.r.t 10GbE switch ports.

Thank you.

- Although it is not specified on HWU, it is described in RCF.
-In the Nexus 3132Q-V, the first 4 ports (1/1 / 1-1 / 1/1/4) are internally broken out from port 1 (1/1), so they are treated the same as connecting with a breakout cable. It becomes.
-Therefore, if you connect the first 4 ports (1/1 / 1-1 / 1/4) of FAS8200 and Nexus, you can connect using 10GbE SFP + without a breakout cable.
-This configuration is a supported configuration

-The cable that can be used in this configuration should be compatible with the N5596UP switch.
I understand the above.

Thank you for your polite answer.
