I have a device that belongs to ONTAP 8.2.5. I can't activate my existing licenses after a device reset.

The source of my problem is that I have a 7-character license. But my device's version supports it based on 28 characters.

My current licenses are due to the fact that they are compatible with the old version.

ONTAP Upgrades - Non-disruptive upgrades DO NOT require new license keys. New license keys are only required if the system has been wiped clean and the new version keys are not available on Support Site.
- If you require new license keys, work with your NetApp Sales or Support representatives to submit a License Modification Request. (reference this KB article)

I talked to the Sales Team, they shared that 28 characters cannot be licensed for the 8.2.5 firmware version. I need to install firmware 8.1 on my device.
