      <title>Install Ontap on new disk</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Dear all,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a FAS 2040 system where only one controller (ctl1) was previously installed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I installed yesterday and configured a new shelf, assign disk for the second controller (ctl2).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In boot menu I have choose :&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;(7) Install new software first.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;--&amp;gt; Update the system from 8.02 to 8.1&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But now I have afraid to choose:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;(4) Clean configuration and initialize all disks.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The ctl1 is on production... aggr, vol, lun...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does this option initialize all disks from all the enclosure and erase ctl1 disks?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Or erase only all disk owned by ctl2 where I launch boot menu?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks you very much for your help.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Best regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Emmanuel&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
