    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;disconnecting the multipath to a shelf to do an expansion is&lt;BR /&gt;a common scenario and can be done online.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please refer to the cabling guide and check cabling before and&lt;BR /&gt;after expansion with "Config Advisor" you can find in "Utility Toolchest".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If Config Advisor is not green before expansion maybe you need a downtime&lt;BR /&gt;for fixing the problem.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Marco&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi All,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a query regarding change of cabling while system is online. Please suggest if the below is possible on online system. I would like to do the following: &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL style="list-style-type: decimal;"&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Remove the cables on port &lt;STRONG&gt;0b &lt;/STRONG&gt;port on both controllers and connect them to new disk shelf (square ports)&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Connect the circle ports on new disk shelf to both controllers&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt; (Basically I want to remove red cables and reconnect like green one)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt; &lt;IMG src="http://community.netapp.com/legacyfs/online/23517_2222.jpg" width="450" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Kindly suggest of the above is possible when system is online. Or do I need to have downtime!!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks in advance&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
