The drives shipped from netapp have the firmware code written. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you want to use the third party storage attach to a netapp filer, you need to buy the v-series filers.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thank you,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;aK G&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
