topic One to One mapping between LUNS and Flex Volumes? in ONTAP Hardware

Hello everyone

We are currently planning to deploy 11.2.0.3 RAC using Linux 6.x and NetAPP FAS3210

We are planning to use Oracle ASM (using external redundancy) over NFS

The AGGREGATE consist of 24 disks

We are planning to create 6 Flex Volumes and carve out 4 luns from each Flex Volume. We are told that there is a one to one mapping between LUNS and Flex Vols. Is that true?

We are asking because if that's the case, we will have to create 28 Flex Volumes

We also would like to know that when using EXTERNAL redundancy with ASM Disk Groups, does it matter if each DISK GROUP is created using a minimum 4 LUNS (In accordance with Oracle ASM best practices) as opposed to a single LUN?

Thanks in advance for your assistance and guidance
