topic Migrating FAS 2240-4 7mode filer to CDOT [SAN Attached] in ONTAP Hardware

I have a FAS 2240-4 currently running 7mode that I want to migrate to CDOT.

Couple questions:

1) Do I need to install a Cluster Interconnect kit? or can the CDOT OS utilize the internal Controller interconnects?

2) I am currently SAN Attached [iSCSI], LUNS are presented to Microsoft Hyper-V ONLY, no additional shares. Can I convert this to a SMB 3 connection?

In order to preserve the data, I am planning on doing a side by side migration with a spare 2240-4.

Thank you

Multinode cluster must have dedicated redundant interconnect over LAN. Internal HA interconnect cannot be used for this.
