    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The solution you suggested looks good for me. Putting shelves into different stacks actually avoids single point of failure.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Mixing of SSD and SAS disks in the same shelf seems to be supported from ONTAP 8.0.1 onwards, but in ONTAP 8.1.1 , a bug is fixed w.r.t this.
