Motherboard 3140 Bios Upgrade

Greetings-

I am not 100% certain if this belongs in the Ontap section or the FAS section.

I have a 7-mode HA pair that is running (Boiler Maker) 8.05 and wish to upgrade to (Rolling Rock) 8.1.4P7. While reviewing the the upgrade advisor it recommends to upgrade the motherboard bios from 4.4 to 4.5.

I thought bios upgrades were included with ontap upgrades and it would take care of it when I perform the ontap upgrade, is this still true?

If not I will have to upgrade the mobo bios first seperately. Which I have issues with the instructions a bit.

here are the instructions for it - but they are vague assumptions need to be made. for example were does it say to perform a take over? it just says HALT. Perhaps me being picky. But just a tad clarification on these steps AND if the bios is included wit the version of onTap I mentioned above.

Here is the compatibility. However there is no 3140 on it. That is becuase the 3140 has a RLM versus a (SP) Service processor.

thanks for the note. However I still wanted to know if the bios 4.5 comes bundled with the ontap version I meantioned in my original post???
