How to Format the drives on a netapp FAS 8020 Filer

Hi,

I just installed a SAS Shelve from an FAS 3100 Filer to our new FAS 8020 Cluster. I need some suggestion on how I can format the data from the old Filer? Does I need to use the Disk Sanitazion command? Here is a list of the SAS Disk:

Plug them back into the 3100, delete the aggrs, and remove disk ownership. Then move them to the new cluster.

Unfortunatly the Disk Shelve is on another site were the old Filer currently at. To do that, I will very much take out the either the old filer or the shelve of disk to there respective sites.

There is a procedure to recover from that scenario. It involves setting a hidden option to reenable the aggr destroy command in the nodeshell.

Thanks for the Article. I was able to delete the Foreign Aggregates by following all the steps on the KB.
