    <description>&lt;P&gt;Andris, thanx for the response.&amp;nbsp; I kinda found bread crumbs here and there and specifically, I've assigned one disk to each node at the container level and left it at that.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;cluster1::&amp;gt; storage disk assign -disk &lt;SPAN&gt;6.2.0&lt;/SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;-owner node1&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;cluster1::&amp;gt; storage disk assign -disk &lt;SPAN&gt;6.2.12&lt;/SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;-owner node2&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>ADP2 spare disk assignment</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Guys, what is the process of assigning spare disks in a root-data1-data2 config?&amp;nbsp; Is it simple as assigning data1 to node1 and data2 to node2 then not adding them to their respective aggregates?&amp;nbsp; The documentation on this matter is almost non-existant.&amp;nbsp; Thanx in advance.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;maduro&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Just leave the spare whole disk alone, assigned to either one of the HA partners. ONTAP will automatically partition the disk and assign the partitions, when needed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
