When an SVM Disaster Recovery (SVM-DR) failover occurs and the NAS volumes become read-only on the secondary site, the cause is almost always related to SVM state, CIFS/NFS configuration, or security/identity dependencies not being fully active after the break.

how can solve the issue of read-only.

Hi @AhmedAl-Batoosh ,

To recover from a disaster and serve data from the destination SVM, you must activate the destination SVM. Activating the destination SVM involves stopping scheduled SnapMirror transfers, aborting ongoing SnapMirror transfers, breaking the replication relationship, stopping the source SVM, and starting the destination SVM.

ONTAP SnapMirror SVM disaster recovery workflow
