Hi,

FAS 3240, 7 mode or cluster mode?

7-mode can be done via "ifconfig" command, edit the entry in /etc/rc and source /etc/rc

Cluster mode, you can use "network interface modify" commands.

Network IP modification has to be a planned change.

I want to know how can I change an IP of my netapp controllers?.

We have on this range of IP: 192.168.6.x and this will be 192.168.8.x

It's disrupting this configuration?

I have a OnCommand System Manager and I added the 2 controller using snmp protocol.

I logged into in one of them an type "version" command.

Here is the output:

Let me know the procedure to follow to do this task. Also, it is disruptive?.

I have my configuration on an HA mode, and the interface e0M on each controller, that is the interface that I want to change the IP address.

How can I backup config files on command prompt?, any bash interpreter that I can install into it?, how can I see the content of files and how can I change from one directory to other?.

Hi,

Looks like you have a 7-Mode system.

The config backup procedure is explained here:

https://library.netapp.com/ecmdocs/ECMP1368862/html/GUID-B27A5B8F-3A30-47CF-8EE5-979310993BDB.html

If its only the e0M IP you need to change it via command line or oncommand system manager.

The e0M management port and RLM/SP/BMC network port are connected to an internal switch on the controller. One port from the switch is wired to the
wrench
RJ45. With this configuration, both of these management ports need to be on the same subnet.
