IOPS

Esxi 6.5 > AFF220 (24xSSD) > NFS using a single 10Gbe SFP+ connection.

IOmeter giving 40.000 IOPS when doing 4k 100% read random (Inside VM). Tried adding more workers, but the 40k. appears to be the limit.

Is this a good number or would it be a benefit to modify ESXi settings like queue depth?

Also I am not sure if it is just the 10Gbe link maxing out?

Things run just fine, but its always nice to see some numbers for reality check.

Queue Depht should not be a item with NFS.

The VM can become the bottleneck. Try adding more VM's with, for example, 8 workers.
