I am working on a new deployment of Microsoft Private Cloud running on cDOT 8.2.2. I've installed SMI-S v5.2 on a Windows Server 2012 R2 server. The SMI-S installation is on a seperate server from the VMM server. It seem to be connecting to the vServer via SMI-S however when I attempt to view my volumes/luns or any details of the vServer it returns no values.

Below is an example of what I'm getting.

PS C:\Program Files (x86)\Ontap\smis\pegasus\bin>
PS C:\Program Files (x86)\Ontap\smis\pegasus\bin> ./smis list
ONTAP_FilerData.hostName="iwic:nainfra:mgmt.iwinnovations.com",port=443
PS C:\Program Files (x86)\Ontap\smis\pegasus\bin> ./smis volumes
PS C:\Program Files (x86)\Ontap\smis\pegasus\bin> ./smis luns
PS C:\Program Files (x86)\Ontap\smis\pegasus\bin>

Any help I can get on understanding why SMI-S does seem to see storage objects would be useful.

-Norm

Dan,

Thank you for repling. I got it working by reinstalling SMI-S. The only thing I did different was added the vServer via IP address this time and not FQN. I recieved the same feedback from the software when adding the storage but this time it was able to read the storage information.
