A recent upgrade of our domain controllers from W2K3 to W2K8 has broken CIFS running on Ontap 6.3.3.

The domain admins have since enabled all authentication prototcols.

When running cifs setup we are getting KRB5 Error 68 when entering the password for the domain user account.

The filer computer account is in west.xyz.com

The user account is in xyz.com

If I use a user account in west.xyz.com the error returned is KRB5 Error 52.

Is Ontap 6.3.3 compatible with W2K8 AD ?

There is no option to choose NT authentication in 6.3 as there is in newer versions of Ontap.

Wow Steve,

Did you say that you're still running DOT 6.3.3 which was release almost 10 years ago.

What is your filer model? You may wish to double check/upgrade to the higher version of DOT supported on that.

Good luck

Henry
