CoT 8.2 CIFS File creation Owner and Rights

in CoT 8.2 , I create a vServer and configure CIFS . OK .

I create a volume with NTFS security style .

I have made no specific settings for the moment .

I Share my volume , mount it in the global name space .

I can access it as I want ...

BUT :

When I create a file , the owner is always set to 'Everyone' and rights to Full Control .

Even IF different users create or copy files , the rights and owners are always set as this .....

Big problem for me ... I thought the default user would be set to the 'real' user .... and I don't know how to set my 'service' .

Do I have to configure specific things for the vserver ? the volume ? the share ?

I red things about ACE ... but don't know if i have to make a specific config or if there is a problem in my 'default' config ...

Can you show the out put of "vserver security file-directory show -vserver <vserver> -path <unix Path>"

if you can give both the volume path as well as the share path that should help

Hi ,

Sorry but I don’t have access anymore to the platform .

It was a POC for a customer . I tried to create a new VSM and shares and everything was OK .

I don’t understand what the customer did and I can’t access to the platform anymore.

They played and did things I did not control but do not know what …

Everything is fine for the customer with a good configuration
