NFS mount as persistent or as a service on Windows server?

Hi,
I'm running Windows Server 2008 R2, 64bit. We have a couple NFS shares
on our NetApp SAN that we need to mount from this server as letter
drives. I have installed "Service for NFS" and I have successfully
mounted the NFS shares using both "mount" and "net use", but I have a
couple questions:

1. Is one method better than the other, "mount" vs. "net use"
2. When using "mount," the mounts are lost when I log out of that user
or restart. Can I do any sort of a "persistent" tag with "mount" (I
got it to work with "net use", but this leds into my next question...)
3. Ultimately I would like to have the NFS mounts remain active even
when there is no user logged in, is there any way to mount an NFS
share as a service or something like that so that it is always
available?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Aaron

Aaron,

Did you find any answers, especially question 3. I have just struck that problem with Windows Server 2008 R2.

Our DBAs want to backup to a share and CIFS is a pain. I want to give them an NFS volume for overnight backups run from Scheduled Tasks.

Cheers,

Richard
