    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I would like to know what CIFS volume size people recoment.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I am adding CIFS usage for the first time.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I have a 900 gig file share on a windows server.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I would like to know if I should robocopy the entire 900 gig or if I should break out the folders.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi and welcome to the Community! &lt;SPAN __jive_emoticon_name="happy" __jive_macro_name="emoticon" class="jive_macro jive_emote" src="https://community.netapp.com/4.5.5/images/emoticons/happy.gif"&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In my opinion there is no need to break this share into multiple volumes - unless you have different snapshot schedules / retention periods for some data subsets.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You may also consider using multiple qtrees within the same volume for dividing data into smaller chunks (if there is a good reason for that, e.g. quota management).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Radek&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
