There has been network a network or file permission error. The network connection may be lost.

Hi all,

I have got the error several time from Microsoft Word and Power Point when saving the file on Netapp ( CIFS protocol ).

CIFS share file for Active Directory Users Authentication.

The CIFS options session time out is about 10 min.

Should i increase the time for CIFS option session time out to fix this error ?

Any recommendation to fix this error ?

Model :FAS2240-2

Data ONTAP:8.1.2P4 / 7 mode

Disk: 24 disks 600GB SAS

Packet trace is needed to determine this issue, but for now, I guess bug id 526036 may be a cause of permission error.

However, this does not result in CIFS session disconnect. It is better to open a case for responsible answer.
