hourly CIFS messages

Since upgrading to 8.1, we are receiving hourly messages in the log:

[filename:nbt.nbns.registrationComplete:info]: NBT: All CIFS name registrations have completed for the local server.

Someone suggested disabling wins on the network port, but this seems to have no effect.

Is this a new feature of CIFS support? How can this be turned off or these messages suppressed?

A syslog.conf entry to write only to messages for he exact message type would keep it off the console.

I am seeing the same behavior. I would like to now, like the OP asked is this is normal behavior? Not trying to suppress, just some more info on it would be great.

Same behavior here after upgrading from 8.0.2 to 8.1.2.

How would you do that?

You seem to be refering to a rsyslogd feature, not available on Data ONTAP...
