I believe a shell command "lsof" can show you the list of open files along with the PIDs of the processes that access those files in Linux. Not sure about windows.

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to determine which process access a file?

In the case of protection against ransomware I would like to know if I can see what process (on a windows machine or linux) access a file.

Can I get such information via CLi or GUI?

Thx 4 any answer,

jenoptik
