Hi,

We have to setup IPsec ( for NFS and Cifs Client) between NetApp and some OS. We succeed to do it for Linux, but not for IBM Aix OS. Has anyone ever configured IPSec between ONTAP and Aix? if yes, could you sen a configuration sample ?

Regards,

Said

I don't know the answer. But, out of curiosity I started to look up for Ipsec and it looks like it only uses following traffic selectors such as (local-ip-subnets,remote-ip-subnets,local-ports,remote-ports,protocols). I am wondering does OS really has anything to do ? Moreover, as it is over CIFS/NFS protocols, so OS can be ruled out.

I think each OS has its own way of implementing IPSEC. for example, for Linux I use Liberswan, for Windows we use natif IPsec.
