Hi, I have two questions with regard to the SLDIAG command and FC disk shelf (multipath support).

Have a customer maintenance window tonight to install (2) 4 port FC HBA cards and a 4 port GbE card in each controller. Following the NetApp documentation it mentions to run the sldiag maintenance command for newly installed hardware. I am trying to understand the exact command string to use, sldiag device run [-dev devtype] [-name device]

I believe “–dev” should be “nic” and “storage”, but I do not understand what “–name” should be. Can anyone assist?

Also, with FC disk shelf stacks is there a best practice for cabling them with multipath support on the FAS3270? All the (4) port HBA cards are in the expansion I/O chassis and there are 5 FC disk shelf stacks.

I believe it is sldiag device run -dev nic -name e0a(interface name)
