Hello,

We ran into a issue when modifying /etc/exports on one of our filers. Since the change to the file was significant we copied it over to Notepad++ and edited the file. While pasting it back to the filer, there seems to be some corruption to the file causing the filer to lose exports.

We already know the workaround for the problem but are interested in finding if there are known instances of the same issue. I have been pointed towards encoding differences especially in how end of line is handled.

Interested in finding if there are other scenarios where this was encountered and what was determined as the root cause. Would be great if someone can point me to some KB or some documentation.
