Can you swap out a PCI card on an unconfigured fas2240 while the machine is powered off? If so, will the initial setup run the same way? If not, is there a special procedure on how to change the type of card?

You'll want to contact your sales rep or support specialist for specific instructions, but yes the 10GbE or FCP mezzanine card should be installed while the system is powered off. System Setup will detect and configure the 10GbE ports for you, but it does not currently handle FCP ports. The setup should still work fine, but you will need to configure FCP later in the CLI or System Manager.

Cheers!
