OnCommand to add new Aggregate

I have a disk shelf that was added previously. It has 24bays, 12 of which are currently occupied. I want to add another 12 drives to fill that shelf. My question is can those drives be added hot and will OnCommand recognize those under the Drives section in Storage on the controller that is controlling that shelf? If so, can I then create a new aggregate in OnCommand using the new drives? Thanks for the help.
