Cluster Add Fails in OCUM 6.2RC1

Hi All,

I am running a cDOT ESXi Simulator version of ONTAP 8.2.1 in a 2 node cluster confguration.

When I add this cluster as a datasource to OCUM6.2RC1, it fails with error cluster discovery failed.

One out of the 2 nodes in the cluster is not healthy. Is this has something to do with adding cluster to OCUM ?

Yes, UM expects the clsuter to be healthy. For the cluster to be healthy, more than half of the nodes of the cluster should be healthy.

You can see log messages regarding these errors.

I didnt find this behaviour. Mine was a two node cluster and one node was unhealthy.

Still UM refused to monitor/discover it.

Sounds silly though, if a monitoirng tool cant monitor when monitoirng is really needed.

User has to keep the cluster healthy before adding it to UM. That's the pre-requisite at present.

After user has added the cluster, and if it goes unhealthy, UM can continuously monitor it and report.

Thats the design.
