IP address change of discovered storage system not reflected in SCOM

We use the Clustered Dat ONTAP Management Pack for SCOM. We're running SCOM 2012 R2 at the latest update rollup and are using the NetApp MP at level 4.1.0.7042. The issue we're having is the IP address of one of our clustered NetApps was changed over the weekend but the related storage system that was previously discovered in SCOM still reflects the original address. The storage system management interface from the NetApp MP for SCOM doens't allow for manually editing the IP address. If I try and add the storage system by the new IP address, I'm told it already exists (so at some level the new address is known via the DNS change). If I try and remove the affected storage system so I can re-add it, I get the following error:

Should the IP change have been picked up automatically? If not, what's the proper procedure to update the IP of a discovered storage system in SCOM? Lastly, why is the remove option generating this error?

Hi,

Should the IP change have been picked up automatically? Answer: Yes. Check if the Discovery Rule is set to "FALSE", which means discovery is only done manually by default. Iin some cases after installing SCOM 2012 on Windows 2008 with OnCommand Plug-In 3.1, the automated discovery does not work. See Kb "https://kb.netapp.com/support/index?page=content&id=2017408&actp=LIST_RECENT&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1448604144807" for Solution.
