Netapp Oncommand Insight Reporting

Hi Gents, I was wondering if you could help me with setting up Netapp Oncommand Insight v7.1.1

I have installed Insight in a test environment, there arre 2 esxi hosts and a Netapp Fas system,

I have added them as data sources into Insight and have licensed Insight correctly, I am able to create dashboards and dig through individual VMs as expected and view performance statistics through the web GUI but in the top right corner the reporting portal is greyed out (next to the help & Java GUI buttons)

Does ayone have an idea how to activate the reporting portal? I have been trawling through the documentation but to no avail.

Hey Alex,

The OCI reporting Datawarehouse (DWH) is a second Windows server - you cannot install it on the same server as the operational OCI instance.

When the DWH is installed, and registered with the OCI server ,the hyperlink from the operational instace to the DWH should work.

Given that it doesn't, I tend to think the DWH wasn't installed, or perhaps there may be DNS issues with the OCI servers - I sometimes see POC windows servers don't get properly registristed in DNS

I cannot find the documentation that assists in the installation for the DWH. There is literally no mention of it in the setup guide. Do you have any pointers?

I have already looked at this document and it seems to be very vague which didnt help;

'Before you begin

You must have the Data Warehouse and Reporting installation file, the required hardware and software environment, and a deployment plan for the hardware, network, and OnCommand Insight Data Warehouse and Reporting configurations.'

The Documentation doesnt elaborate where to get the file from and there is no mention of the data warehouse and reporting installation file on netapp support download folder.

There is only the .msi file for the Insight installation.

Any ideas?

There are three different downlaod links there - one for OCI, one for the DWH, and another for installing the RAU...
