System Manager 3.0 no tabs?

Installed SM 3.0 today, and I immediately noticed a difference between this new version and 2.x: When you log into a system, it opens a new browser window when using IE9 instead of opening a new tab within the same browser session! This is terribly inconvenient, and is something that made System Manager 2.x so useful. How to I get tabs back?

Hello,

The OCSM 3.0 Quick Start Guide p15 states:

Double-click the storage system that you want to manage.

Depending on your browser settings, the storage system management tab opens in a new tab window or a new browser window.

In IE 10 you can configure the tabbed browsing as follows:

To change how pop-ups are displayed

Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Internet Explorer.
Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
Click the General tab, and then, in the Tabs section, click Settings.
Make a selection in the When a pop-up is encountered section.
Click OK twice.

This is not Internet Explorer related.

In OCSM 2.2 you had the tabs within the flash window of system manager which was much better and easier to switch between systems.

Hope this comes back in the next version!!!

Any solution to this yet? Annoying as heck to have a different window for each cluster!!!

Any while your fixing this, please add a way to have each cluster tab stay open... forever.

kryan's answer above, which is to configure IE to open new tabs instead of new windows, approximates the flash windows SM 2.2 had. It's better, but not the same.

I have enough tabs open without system manager opening more...

Netapp please bring back the old style, or at least give us the choice of the two.
