Add data in table from workflow (Linux)

How do I insert data from a Workflow into a table?

I have a workflow to create a volume. Normally when we create a volume we write in a list which platform we want to use it for (test or production).

Is there any way that I can write this information directly in the cm_storage.volume table so I can later filter the volumes after the platform?

I'm running WFA 4.0 on Linux.
