Performance Advisor Bar Chart Custom View

Has anyone had success creating a bar chart in performance advisor to monitor "top 5" of a specific counter? I have tried on 3.7 and 3.8 and after creating the view and hitting save, I get a blank pop up error.

The details say "No additional details are available. No suggested corrective action is available"

Any help would be appreciated, and thanks in advance!

What kind of counter selected and on which object it is applied?

I tried multiple counters, total cifs ops, nfs ops, average nfs latency,

back to back cp, and deferred back to back cp to name a few.

Each of them allow me to add the counter, but when I go to save the view

does not register and I get an error.

I tried to create a bar chart using 3.8 to confirm the behavior. I created a custom view with a single bar chart containing total_cifs_ops for "top 5" objects in global.

After hitting save, the custom chart view closes and the view does not show up on the list. What is more puzzling is that dfm does not return an error.
