The Java install path should not be an issue AFAIK. Can you check if the installed JRE is 64-bit and not 32-bit ?

If you have installed a 32-bit JRE on a 64-bit machine, you will get the above error.

Regards,

Karthik

The java install path made all the difference. Reinstalling java to the default path (c:\program files\java\jre7) allowed the installer to run without issue, but of course it broke my original application.

Thanks for your assistance.

Hoyt
