    <description>&lt;P&gt;YES! this helped me out as well.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Some accounts would work, while others would not.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Turned out that switching from CN to sAMAccountname did the trick!&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello folks, please help me.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000080"&gt;I don't get LDAP running in Grafana. Let me aks few questions, please?&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000080"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000080"&gt;How do I need to login in Grafana "domain\user", or "user@domain", or just "user"&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000080"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000080"&gt;I have in my base DNs spaces, such as "cn=Frank Schubert". Do I need to escape them somehow?&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How can I check in CLI if auth is working?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Would realllllly appreciate help...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;regards Frank&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You use your short user name to login into Grafana once LDAP has been configured.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What you use in terms of LDAP terminology is the sAMAccountName, this property doesn't have any space in it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The only way I know of is to use ldapsearch tools to query active directory but that's tricky.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can you give a sample of your LDAP config here, hiding sensible informations? Are you using NAbox or your own Grafana Install?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
