Hello,

Does anyone have a proven architecture for SVM-DR implementation with identity preserve in Azure where HA pairs are located in different regions?

Just talking from standard SVM DR features: As you mentioned HA Pairs are located in different regions, that means they may not have access to same IP subnet, DNS and route information. Ideally with identity preserve set to true, all the SVM configuration including IP and route info is replicated so that the IP addresses would remain the same on DR.

Following policy be required with identity preserve true for such setup:

-discard-configs network option of the snapmirror policy create command excludes LIFs and related network settings from SVM replication, for use in cases where the source and destination SVMs are in different subnets.
