How to get Custom Reports out from OnCommand Unified Manager 6.

Hi,

OnCommand Unified Manager version earlier than 6 has reporting mechanism through DFM; but OnCommand Unified Manager 6 has very minimal and basic reports. Then, how to get customized capacity reports out of OnCommand Unified Manager 6.

OnCommand Report says that it only supports OnCommand Unified Manager 5.2.

Please clarify.

Hi,

The current released versions of OnCommand Unified Manager 6.x does not have reporting functionality. However here you can use export the data from UI to CSV format.

This can be achieved by navigating through Storage Tab-><select-respective-object-list> -> Click on Export Button. For more details refer topic "Exporting data to CSV files" in Online help.

Please stay tuned for future releases of OnCommand Unified Manager 6.x to receive Reporting functionality.

To do custom reports you will need OnCommand report there you can create custom reports and the reports that come with the tool itself.

Export button is available for only few of the pages. If I want to get export of history data for a partcular aggregate usage similar to 'dfm graph' output in 5.2, is there a way to export it?

I would suggest looking at the OnCommand Report User Guide (attached here) there you will find the information for the ability to use OnCommand reporting. If you are attempting to just use Unified then you have to use the export tab on right side then set up a possible report and edit from there.

FYI - OnCommand Report is currently almost out of the EOA window and does not work with UM 6.x.
