Pulling stats from EMC storage.

I just want to verify that this statement below is correct. -

"They hit some obstacles making the product pull stats from the EMC storage. Support told them the product cannot pull data directly from the arrays themselves - only from hosts that have storage on the arrays. That's a significant difference from how it works with NetApp arrays, and is not at all how they thought it was supposed to work."

There is SP Collect and the NetApp Data Center Planner (NCDP) tool can parse it http://support.netapp.com/NOW/download/tools/ndcp/
