OnCommand Unified Manager 6.2 - Missing API Features? API Alternatives?

I've downloaded the API documentation for OCUM 6.2 from:

- is this API documentation complete? Compared to OCUM 5.2 and earlier versions the API seems to be missing many useful features.

There don't appear to be any API commands to add clusters, create/modify alerts, force a manual rediscovery of a cluster, etc. Has anyone found any alternatives when working with OCUM 6.2 other than going through the web interface for all adminstrative tasks?
