My question to NetApp - why so complicated?

Do I really need to have paid support to download and use your SDK?

vmware sdk/vddk libraries do not require any support contract

This is a technical forum. most of the NetApp stuff you see here are technical as well.

i believe you need to find the right channel.

if you want to integrate your product with NetApp you can contact them via the partner channel https://www.netapp.com/us/partners/index.aspx#become-a-partner.

if you working for specific NetApp customer, you can register with his NetApp S/N.

i'll also add that the SDK is useless if you don't have an actual NetApp or the virtual simulator (that also requires an active account)

If you have right to post question here, indeed you should have rights to download free Netapp SDK.
