Is there any instruction about connecting Trident from ONTAP Simulator?

Hopefully, following points are documented for passing TR-4798 sample.

IP Address/Mask/Gateway setting for ONTAP System Manager
Required License for ONTAP Simulator (SnapMirror etc)
Required SVM configuration
Required Aggregation configuration

You should be able to connect Trident to ONTAP simulator. Here is instructions on configuring ONTAP and connecting it to trident.

There is also additional information in that link on how to fully configure Trident. Also want to mention that you can go to the NetApp Trident github for additional assistance.
