    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Running a FAS3220...&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I am creating a LUN to provide a VMware RDM mapping to a guest Windows OS.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; When creating the LUN inside of OnCommand System Manager, do I create it as type "VMware" or "Windows"?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;the description says "Storage will be optimized according to the type selected".&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Should I pick the host type (VMware) or the guest type (Windows) ??&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks in advance,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Claud&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Claud&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You have to use Windows type when creating RDM Lun ,if you have SnapDrive software installed inside your VM , it will be easier and better to use it for lun provisioning inside VM&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regard&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Isa&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
