      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Is there a way to run NFS over our exsisting fiber? &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;We run VMWare to vmfs datastores on our NetApp. Someone among my team went to TechEd and heard that NFS might be a better way to go vs. vmfs. Would we have to switch our infrastructure back to IP or can we run NFS over our fiber to our NerApp?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Thank you all in advance.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;NFS is by definition an IP based protocol, so yes, if you want to use NFS you need Gigabit ethernet.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
